Sunday 10th February
11:00 Start Time
Depart Newtown Linford Car Park

‘Join a ‘horse-led’ procession to the Ruins of Bradgate House, to mark the execution of Lady Jane Grey, the 9-day Queen on the 12th Feb 1554. This procession will start at 11am promptly from the Newtown Linford car park. There is no set end time. The Trust will also have a flower laying as a mark of respect to Lady Jane Greyin the Chapel, where we will be joined by a harpist for a symbolic remembrance.

The Tudor Society will also be attending, marking their respect, to Bradgate Park’s most famous resident. Please do not bring flowers. Deer friendly flowers will be available for a small donation.

Please note we expect the car park to be busy – and wet conditions may mean overflow grass car parks can not be opened. Please be considerate to our neighbours.
This event is free to attend, but donations are welcome. Car parking charges apply (£4 per day).’
