The Lux in Arcana: Vatican Secret Archives Exhibition has opened in Rome.
Among the 100 items on display are the letter written by Mary Queen of Scots to the Pope on the night before her execution and Henry VIII’s appeal to the Pope to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon.
